OMCO Solar, a U.S. factory-direct manufacturer of solar trackers and fixed-tilt solutions, has been acquired by MacLean-Fogg, a family-owned, U.S.-based manufacturing enterprise. The transaction brings together two domestic manufacturing platforms, positioning OMCO for continued growth in the U.S. tracker and fixed-tilt markets.
OMCO will continue operating as a distinct brand within the MacLean-Fogg portfolio and will retain its current leadership team, ensuring continuity for employees, customers, and industry partners. The acquisition is driven by OMCO’s strong growth trajectory and aligns with MacLean-Fogg’s strategy to expand its manufacturing platforms across roll forming, fabrication, and solar.
Over the past 19 years, OMCO has built a reputation in domestic manufacturing, producing structural components for its tracker and fixed-tilt systems. The company has delivered more than 12 GW of solar mounting structures in the United States and recently launched the OMCO Star® Tracker Control System to support utility-scale tracker projects. With a coast-to-coast manufacturing footprint, OMCO produces solar structures made from 100% U.S. steel.
MacLean-Fogg, founded in 1925, operates through MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions and Mallard Manufacturing, with business groups spanning Fastener Solutions, Engineered Solutions, Plastic Solutions, Additive Solutions, and Gravity Flow & Logistic Solutions. The company employs more than 2,000 people and serves automotive, heavy truck, material handling, and other industrial markets.
The companies said the acquisition reflects a shared commitment to strengthening U.S. manufacturing, investing in advanced manufacturing capabilities and engineering talent, and supporting local communities while delivering precision-engineered products to industrial customers.
