OMNI announced the acquisition of Nara Logics, a Boston-based artificial intelligence company known for its decision-intelligence platform and neuroscience-inspired AI technologies. The deal strengthens OMNI’s ability to provide trusted AI solutions to customers across the U.S. Department of War, Intelligence Community, and other national security agencies.
The acquisition integrates Nara Logics’ Synaptic Intelligence Platform into OMNI’s existing software portfolio, creating an end-to-end data-to-decision ecosystem designed for high-consequence mission environments. The combined platform is intended to help government customers analyze complex data, generate explainable insights, and make informed decisions across classified and operational settings.
As part of the integrated offering, OMNI’s Astoria metadata management platform standardizes and prepares mission data, while its ACDC real-time data access platform securely delivers information across disparate systems. Nara Logics’ Synaptic Intelligence Platform then transforms that data into transparent recommendations and courses of action for analysts, operators, and commanders.
OMNI said the acquisition comes as federal agencies increasingly prioritize trusted, auditable, and secure AI capabilities rather than focusing solely on model performance. The company believes Nara Logics’ explainable AI architecture addresses concerns surrounding black-box AI systems by providing visibility into how recommendations are generated while keeping human decision-makers in control.
The company also highlighted Nara Logics’ ability to operate without requiring pre-labeled training data, which can reduce deployment timelines and accelerate adoption of AI solutions in mission-critical environments.
Nara Logics was co-founded in 2011 by Nathan Wilson, a research scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. The company’s platform was designed to emulate aspects of biological neural processing, enabling explainable reasoning and computational efficiency in complex environments.
OMNI said the acquisition aligns with its broader strategy of building an integrated portfolio of digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud, data, automation, and AI capabilities to support government customers.
KEY QUOTES:
“Our national security customers need AI capabilities that work at the speed of relevance. OMNI is thrilled to leverage Nara Logics’ AI mission platform, which brings trust forward as the deciding factor in AI adoption. By combining Nara Logics’ explainable AI platform with OMNI’s zero-trust data solutions, we are giving the customer the ultimate decision advantage, delivering trusted, secure, and discoverable intelligence across classified and compartmentalized networks.”
