Omni Buying Explo And Projecting $30 Million ARR By Year-End

Omni, a business intelligence and embedded analytics platform with a built-in semantic layer, announced the acquisition of Explo, a leading embedded analytics company, marking another milestone in its rapid expansion. Omni projects $30 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of 2025, representing 4x year-over-year growth following 10x growth in 2024, with expectations to double ARR again in 2026.

The acquisition strengthens Omni’s mission to deliver a unified analytics platform that powers both internal and customer-facing use cases with trustworthy, AI-ready data. Omni’s semantic layer provides a consistent foundation for analytics across teams, connecting seamlessly with the most widely used storage, modeling, and processing tools. The company’s platform allows users to explore and act on data using AI, spreadsheets, SQL, or point-and-click workflows—making self-service analytics accessible to every employee.

Under the acquisition terms, Explo will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Omni. Explo’s founders, Andrew Chen and Gary Lin, along with key team members, will work closely with customers over the next 12 months to ensure a smooth transition. During this period, the Explo platform will continue to operate independently, maintaining full access and support for existing customers.

Omni CEO and Co-Founder Colin Zima said the acquisition underscores the company’s commitment to unifying analytics workflows and empowering teams to build AI-driven products faster.

The deal follows a year of major milestones for Omni, including its Series B round led by ICONIQ, significant international expansion into APAC, and a wave of new enterprise customers such as Cribl, dbt Labs, Guitar Center, and Hightouch. Omni also continues to deliver rapid product development, launching new features weekly—including an MCP Server, Agentic Analytics, and enhanced Spreadsheet functionality.
