Omni Family Of Services: Acquisition Of JusticeWorks YouthCare

By Amit Chowdhry • Mar 4, 2026

Omni Family of Services announced it has acquired JusticeWorks YouthCare, expanding its national footprint in child welfare and behavioral health services while significantly increasing the number of families and communities it serves.

The acquisition brings together two organizations focused on supporting children, adults, and families through community-based human services programs. JusticeWorks YouthCare, headquartered in Pittsburgh, is known for its programs addressing child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Founded in 1999 by behavioral health leader Dan Heit, the organization operates in six states including Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Nevada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Following the transaction, Omni’s operational footprint will expand from five states to 10 states. The combined organization will employ more than 1,200 people, roughly doubling Omni’s workforce. JusticeWorks currently has more than 600 employees, all of whom will become employee owners as part of the transaction through the broader 3LS Inc. family of employee-owned companies.

Omni Family of Services, headquartered in Nashville, provides child welfare, behavioral health, and community-based services through evidence-based and trauma-responsive programs. The company was founded in 1991 and operates as part of the 3LS Inc. network, a group of employee-owned organizations focused on health, human services, and professional services.

JusticeWorks will continue operating with its established programs and leadership, with founder Dan Heit transitioning to the role of CEO Emeritus. Leaders from both organizations emphasized that the acquisition aligns closely with their shared mission of improving outcomes for children and families.

The combined organization expects the partnership to expand program access, strengthen service capabilities, and extend the reach of both organizations’ services to more communities nationwide.
