OMNIA Partners, the largest experienced group purchasing organization serving both public and private sectors in the United States, has announced a new investment from CapitalG, the independent growth fund of Alphabet.

Group purchasing organizations (GPOs) traditionally focus on aggregating contracts to secure better pricing for members. OMNIA Partners has taken a different approach by combining its extensive supplier network with proprietary technology solutions that modernize and streamline the procurement process. This strategy positions the company to reshape how organizations—from government agencies to corporations and nonprofits—buy goods and services.

One of its flagship innovations is OMNIA Partners OPUS, a free e-commerce platform that offers a consumer-like online shopping experience while ensuring compliance with cooperative contracts. Since its launch last year, more than 22,000 users have registered. Another key tool is SpendPath, a spend analytics solution that provides customers with detailed insights into their procurement patterns, enabling them to make data-driven decisions and optimize costs. Over the past three years, OMNIA Partners has analyzed more than $400 billion in B2B spending for its clients. The company also offers CONNECT, a supplier portal that provides access to market data, research, sales tools, training resources, and buyer trends, enabling suppliers to win new business more efficiently and shorten sales cycles.

CapitalG’s investment adds to the backing OMNIA Partners already receives from some of the world’s most significant private investment funds. This support has enabled the company to scale its operations, managing more than $35 billion in annual purchasing volume. With CapitalG’s expertise and resources, OMNIA Partners is poised to expand its technology capabilities further, enhance its service offerings, and continue leading the transformation of the group purchasing industry.
