Onebrief, a military-focused planning and command software company, has closed a $200 million Series D financing round and acquired Battle Road Digital as it pushes to expand beyond planning into wargaming, simulation, and real-time operational decision support.

The Honolulu-based company said the Series D included both primary and secondary components totaling $200 million and valued the business at a post-money valuation of $2.15 billion, more than doubling its prior post-money mark. The round was led by Battery Ventures and Sapphire Ventures, with new participation from Salesforce Ventures and additional backing from existing investors General Catalyst and Insight Partners.

Onebrief positions its platform as an operating system for modern command, designed to help military staffs build plans, coordinate across distributed teams, and integrate decision-making workflows in one system. The company said it will use the new capital to scale the business, expand its AI Assist product, and invest in resiliency features intended to support operations in wartime environments.

The financing was announced alongside the acquisition of Battle Road Digital, which Onebrief described as a defense innovation company that applies gaming technology to defense and national security challenges. Onebrief said the purchase immediately adds real-time operational decision support capabilities to its platform, enabling leaders to see, simulate, and decide faster by bridging simulation and live operations.

Company leadership framed the combined moves as part of a broader effort to modernize command operations by unifying planning, wargaming, simulation, and live decision support into a single ecosystem. Onebrief also said the platform is intended to improve over time by learning from real-world operational data through AI-driven methods, with the goal of reducing friction in command workflows and improving speed and confidence for users.

Investors backing the round emphasized Onebrief’s traction within the U.S. military and its planned expansion into AI-driven simulation and decision support. Battery Ventures, which first invested in the company in early 2025, said it viewed the platform as an emerging category leader in defense technology, while Sapphire Ventures pointed to the acquisition as a step toward scaling into more advanced operational use cases.
