OneLayer: $28 Million Series A Raised For Improving Private 5G Network Management And Security For Enterprises

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 17, 2025

OneLayer, a leading provider of private LTE/5G operational technology management and Zero Trust security solutions, has raised $28 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round led by Maor Investments. The round included participation from McRock Capital, Chevron Technology Ventures, and existing backers Viola Ventures, Grove Ventures, and Koch Disruptive Technologies. This new funding brings OneLayer’s total funding to more than $43 million.

The company plans to leverage the funding to accelerate its go-to-market strategy, expand product capabilities, and support the increasing number of enterprises adopting private cellular networks for mission-critical operations. The investment follows significant growth for OneLayer, with the company reporting sixfold growth last year and tripling that pace this year, supported by a customer pipeline extending into 2026.

OneLayer’s platform is designed to simplify and secure private cellular networks by making them manageable within traditional enterprise IT frameworks. The solution provides comprehensive device visibility, segmentation, and control for enterprise assets connected to private LTE or 5G networks, eliminating the need for specialized cellular expertise.

The strong investor demand in this round underscores the company’s growing momentum and leadership in the sector. OneLayer’s technology has been deployed across key industries such as utilities, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and critical infrastructure, with operational footprints spanning North America, Europe, and Latin America. These include large-scale deployments at Fortune 100 manufacturers, which have scaled from initial pilots to multi-site implementations across numerous facilities.

OneLayer’s impact is evident in several large-scale industrial applications. Southern Linc operates a regional LTE network covering 122,000 square miles across Alabama, Georgia, and southeastern Mississippi, where OneLayer supports devices ranging from grid control systems to mission-critical communications. Similarly, Evergy’s private LTE network currently supports thousands of IoT sensors, smart meters, and operational devices for its 1.7 million customers in Kansas and Missouri. In Latin America, mining operations have adopted OneLayer to enable automation, enhance operational efficiency, and deploy secure new production sites.

OneLayer’s technology has also attracted strong ecosystem partnerships. The company works with network giants Nokia and Ericsson, device manufacturers such as Digi, Cradlepoint, and Multitech, configuration management database providers like ServiceNow and SolarWinds, and major cybersecurity firms including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Claroty.

Systems integrators and channel partners, such as World Wide Technology (WWT), Burns & McDonnell, Anterix, and Future Technologies, also collaborate with OneLayer to bring its solutions to enterprise clients globally.

The new funding will enable OneLayer to strengthen its market position as enterprises increasingly view private 5G networks as a cornerstone of industrial automation, digital transformation, and secure connectivity. The company plans to expand beyond North America, building on its recent entry into Latin America and growing presence in Europe.

Through its integrated approach to asset management, operational intelligence, and Zero Trust security, OneLayer has positioned itself as the essential layer bridging private cellular networks and enterprise IT systems, empowering organizations to manage and secure cellular infrastructure with the same efficiency and reliability as their existing network assets.

KEY QUOTES:

“Private 5G represents a massive market opportunity, with enterprise demand far outpacing the industry’s ability to deliver simple, secure solutions. OneLayer solves this by translating cellular networks into enterprise IT language, eliminating the need for specialized cellular expertise. At its core, OneLayer is building the essential infrastructure layer that will make private 5G as ubiquitous as WiFi or any LAN.”
— Ido Hart, Partner at Maor Investments

“Enterprises are deploying private cellular networks at unprecedented scale, but they’re struggling with device visibility, security gaps, and operational complexity that didn’t exist with traditional IT infrastructure. The demand for solutions that bridge this gap is explosive, customers need to manage thousands of cellular-connected devices with the same confidence and control they have over their existing IT assets.”
— Dave Mor, CEO and Co-Founder of OneLayer

“OneLayer enables secure private 5G for industrial automation and autonomy – the foundation Industrial AI needs to scale. Private cellular networks represent the next wave of digital transformation, but connectivity without security is a house of cards. OneLayer provides the missing layer of trust that enterprises need to adopt private 5G with confidence.”
— Scott MacDonald, Co-founder & Managing Partner of McRock Capital

“OneLayer’s software platform holds promise to improve private cellular network reliability and integration for industrial companies, offering better visibility, cost efficiency and security. This is the latest investment from our Core Venture Fund, which focuses on high-growth startups and breakthrough technologies that have the potential to improve Chevron’s core businesses, as well as create new opportunities for growth. We welcome OneLayer to the portfolio.”
