Onit Security: $11 Million Raised For Agentic Exposure Management Platform

Onit Security, a Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity company, has raised $11 million in seed funding to advance its agentic exposure management platform, aimed at automating vulnerability remediation and addressing long-standing inefficiencies in enterprise security operations.

The funding round was led by Hetz Ventures and Brightmind Partners, with additional participation from angel investors.

Founded in 2025 by Elad Ben-Meir, Ofer Amitai, and Tom Winter, the company emerged from stealth following a cyberattack on Amitai’s previous company, where a known vulnerability went unaddressed due to overwhelming backlog and was subsequently exploited. The incident highlighted systemic issues in vulnerability management, where security teams often take weeks to remediate exposures while attackers act within minutes.

Onit Security’s platform is designed to close the gap between detection and remediation by leveraging AI-driven agents. Unlike traditional tools that focus on identifying vulnerabilities and generating alerts, the platform prioritizes risks based on business context, identifies asset ownership across fragmented systems, and executes remediation automatically. This approach aims to eliminate manual coordination and significantly accelerate response times.

The company cites industry data showing that organizations take an average of 32 days to remediate vulnerabilities, with nearly half remaining unresolved after a year. As the number of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures is expected to grow substantially in the coming years, the need for automated, scalable solutions is becoming more urgent.

Onit Security’s system allows organizations to define remediation strategies once and apply them across similar exposures, enabling continuous improvement and compounding efficiency. The company reports that it is already working with Fortune 1000 customers and has reduced mean time to remediation by up to 87 percent.

The new funding will be used to accelerate product development and expand go-to-market efforts as the company enters additional industry sectors.

KEY QUOTES:

“Vulnerability management has been broken for 30 years. Security teams are weighed down by countless alerts, while attackers exploit the smallest window of inaction. Combining a deep understanding of business context alongside the agility to rapidly respond to and remediate emerging threats, Onit brings a potent mix of intelligence with speed, currently unmatched. We are automating remediation at pace, at scale and future-proofing enterprises as they grow and as the cyber landscape around them evolves.”

Elad Ben Meir, CEO And Co-founder Of Onit Security

“Exposure management has been a fundamentally challenging problem for decades, the industry has become great at telling you what’s wrong, but nobody tells you how to fix it. We’ve seen the evolution from legacy scanners to Risk-Based Vulnerability Management and beyond, and remediation has always been where progress stalls. Onit Security changes that equation. Its agentic architecture lets defenders respond at the speed of attackers, turning millions of unmanaged exposures into a problem that actually gets smaller over time. We like hard problems and we like really talented teams to solve them. Onit is the company to finally close the gap between detection and resolution.”
