Online Learning Platform Udacity Names Kenny Kim As CMO

Online learning platform announced it has appointed Kenny Kim as its new Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Kim has 20 years of experience in marketing. And he is joining Udacity from Google where he worked as the Global Head of Growth Marketing for Google Shopping.

Udacity has been continuing to add new courses and Nanodegree programs to its library. And Kim will oversee the company’s continued efforts to raise awareness of the skilling capabilities that Udacity offers for workers around the globe.

And more recently, Udacity launched the AI for Healthcare Nanodegree program in conjunction with experts from Microsoft Research, Genentech, etc.

While working at Google, Kim oversaw performance marketing and advertising for Google Shopping. And previously, he led the marketing teams for both NatureBox and SquareTrade. Kim also held leadership roles at other high-growth startups like Trulia and Hotwire as well as brands like American Express and Ticketmaster.

Udacity is known for collaborating with expert instructors and over 200 global industry partners including AT&T, Google, Facebook, Mercedes-Benz, and NVIDIA to power technical education. Based in Mountain View, Calif., Udacity has operations in the United Kingdom, Egypt, Germany, India, and the United Arab Emirates. And Udacity has raised $163 million in funding to date from investors including Bertelsmann, Andreessen Horowitz, Charles River Ventures, and Drive Capital.
