Amsterdam-based Onodrim Industries has raised €40 million in seed funding to build what it describes as a new foundation for Europe’s defence and industrial technology capabilities. The round was led by Founders Fund, Lakestar, and General Catalyst, with participation from additional funds and angel investors across Europe and the US.
Onodrim is positioning itself as a defence industrial platform focused on addressing high-priority national security challenges, including border protection and resilient supply chains for mission-critical systems. The company is developing capabilities across defence manufacturing, multi-domain sensing, and networked systems aimed at strengthening deterrence, improving operational readiness, and enabling interoperability among European and allied forces.
The founding team brings experience from government, defence, and technology sectors. Co-Founder Aistis Šimaitis, a former advisor to the Lithuanian Government and technology leader at Palantir Technologies, will serve as CEO. He holds a DPhil from Oxford University. Co-Founder Alexander Blessing, also a former engineering leader at Palantir with degrees from Stanford University and the University of Cambridge, will serve as Chief Technology Officer. Christian Garrett, an Italian-American and co-founder, is also part of the leadership team.
The company said the new capital will be used to accelerate product development, recruit engineering talent, and establish manufacturing and research and development capabilities across Europe.
