OpenAI has appointed Arvind KC as its Chief People Officer, effective February 24, 2026. In this role, KC will oversee the company’s global people strategy, including hiring, onboarding, organizational development, and the systems and policies that support OpenAI’s continued growth.
KC joins OpenAI with extensive experience across engineering and people leadership roles at major technology companies, including Roblox, Google, Palantir Technologies, and Meta. His appointment comes as OpenAI continues to scale its operations and workforce to meet increasing demand for its AI research and products.
The company said KC will play a central role in ensuring that OpenAI’s people processes evolve alongside its technological ambitions, while maintaining the culture and operating principles that have guided the organization to date. His mandate includes helping the company adapt to shifts in how work is performed and how teams develop in an AI-driven environment.
