OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic as Chief Revenue Officer to lead its global revenue organization as the company expands enterprise adoption of its AI products.
The appointment comes as OpenAI says its products reach more than one billion weekly active users and more than two million businesses, with the number of business customers doubling over the past year.
Rajic will be responsible for building the revenue organization OpenAI believes it needs as AI becomes more deeply integrated into enterprise workflows and companies move from experimenting with AI tools toward deploying them throughout their operations.
Most recently, Rajic served as President and COO of Wiz, the cybersecurity company recently acquired by Google. OpenAI highlighted his experience building metrics-driven global revenue organizations and selling to both large enterprises and technically sophisticated customers.
Before Wiz, Rajic served as President and COO of Zscaler and as Chief Customer and Revenue Officer at AppDynamics, giving him experience scaling enterprise software businesses across cybersecurity, cloud, and application infrastructure markets.
Rajic succeeds Denise Dresser, who will leave OpenAI after a transition period. OpenAI credited Dresser with building its commercial organization, developing relationships with major customers, and establishing much of the revenue infrastructure supporting its current enterprise business.
The leadership transition comes as OpenAI increasingly focuses on turning strong demand for its models and products into repeatable enterprise deployment and revenue growth. The company said the next generation of AI systems could affect not only individual workflows but how businesses themselves are designed and operated.
OpenAI has also formed a strategic partnership with Chad Peets and RPT Partners to support continued development of its global go-to-market organization.
