OpenTable announced that it has acquired Libro, a reservation and table management platform headquartered in Montreal, as the company looks to strengthen its footprint across Canada, particularly in Quebec.
Libro currently serves thousands of restaurant partners, and the deal is expected to enhance OpenTable’s offerings in the region by combining Libro’s localized expertise with OpenTable’s global diner network and technology platform. The companies will integrate discovery tools, table management systems, and guest relationship capabilities to better support the hospitality sector.
OpenTable said Libro will continue to operate as a standalone brand to ensure continuity for existing restaurant partners, while benefiting from increased visibility through the OpenTable marketplace. A phased integration of inventory, infrastructure, and security systems is expected over time.
The transaction also includes the onboarding of Libro’s employees and leadership team into OpenTable, with the combined organization focusing on delivering expanded solutions for restaurants and diners across North America.
OpenTable is part of Booking Holdings and supports more than 65,000 restaurants globally, helping fill approximately 1.9 billion seats annually through its technology platform.
Libro provides restaurants with tools to manage reservations, reduce no-shows, and build customer relationships through branded guest experiences. The platform serves restaurant operators across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
