Opply has raised $7.5 million in new funding after increasing gross revenue 15-fold over the past 12 months, as the company scales an agentic AI platform designed to automate operational workflows for consumer packaged goods brands. The financing was led by Chalfen Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Anthemis, Entrepreneurs First, In This Together, and Ventures Together. Opply plans to use the capital to expand adoption of its technology across the U.K., Europe, and North America.
Founded in 2021 by Helen Murphy and Martin Postel, Opply is developing what it describes as an agentic operating system for the CPG industry. Its Opply Brain platform combines specialized AI agents, proprietary data, an extensive supplier network, and financing capabilities to manage workflows including sourcing, procurement, inventory, production planning, payments, and logistics.
Unlike software designed primarily to analyze business data or provide recommendations, Opply’s AI is intended to execute operational tasks directly. The company said the platform can manage stock levels, coordinate production, organize sourcing and procurement, facilitate financing, and help ensure deliveries are completed.
Opply initially focuses on food and beverage companies, although its broader opportunity spans the global CPG market. The company cited Allied Market Research projections estimating that the market could reach $18.9 trillion by 2031.
The company’s expansion has been particularly rapid in the United States. Since launching its Chicago operations in 2025, Opply said its U.S. business has grown 30-fold in 12 months as CPG companies seek ways to reduce operating costs and automate traditionally manual supply chain processes.
Customers include U.K. drinks company Agua de Madre and U.S. kombucha brand RMBR. Opply said deployments have produced cost reductions of up to 40% and a 12-fold return on investment within 12 months.
The company believes vertical AI systems designed around the specific workflows, data, and operational requirements of individual industries can take on a larger role in enterprise operations. Opply’s approach combines software automation with supplier connectivity and financing infrastructure, allowing the platform to participate directly in transactions rather than functioning solely as a planning or analytics tool.
The new capital will support further development and commercialization of Opply Brain while helping the company expand its customer base from emerging consumer brands to larger global CPG businesses.
KEY QUOTES:
“It’s a beautiful thing to see a team I backed at the start exceed my very high expectations. Opply has all the ingredients to become a globally significant business: custom AIs that together have proven to make customer operations work end to end; as a result, exceptional growth; and a huge market opportunity in front of it. Its rapid expansion across both the UK and US demonstrates the strength of demand for technology that fundamentally changes how CPG businesses operate and scale. I believe Opply has the potential to become the operational backbone of a multi-trillion-dollar global industry, unlocking enormous value for businesses of every size.”
Mike Chalfen, Founder Of Chalfen Ventures
“CPG supply chains have remained fragmented and manual for far too long. By taking operational complexity out of the equation, we give ambitious brands the headroom to grow faster, invest in innovation and reach more customers. Our AI technology doesn’t just tell brands what needs to be done. It does the work, managing everything from sourcing and procurement to payments and supply chains.
“This latest funding gives us the opportunity to bring that model to many more businesses, from ambitious emerging brands to major global players.”
Helen Murphy, Co-Founder And CEO Of Opply
