Opus Water has expanded its engineered products platform with the acquisition of Chicago-based Yeary Controls, adding a 20-year portfolio of precision control valves, actuators, and flow-control accessories to the company’s growing water and industrial solutions business. Backed by XPV Water Partners, Opus Water is using the deal to further scale across water, wastewater, and process-fluid markets.

Founded by Art Yeary, Yeary Controls is best known for the Sharktooth™ Control Valve. This engineered solution delivers superior cavitation and noise performance and can outperform traditional control valves by 4x in uptime and asset life. The acquisition enhances Opus Water’s ability to serve complex fluid-handling applications across sectors, including water, wastewater, power generation, pulp & paper, steel, and mining.

CEO John DeYarman said the deal reinforces the company’s strategy of building a best-in-class portfolio of engineered flow-control solutions through targeted acquisitions that bring differentiated technology, deep engineering expertise, and customer-centric design.
