Oracle announced that Hilary Maxson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer as the company accelerates investment in cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence capacity.
Maxson will report to CEO Clay Magouyrk and lead Oracle’s global finance organization. Her appointment comes during a period of rapid growth, with demand for AI training and inferencing, multicloud database services, and cloud applications exceeding supply. The company said its most recent quarter delivered its strongest performance in over 15 years, with more than 20% growth in both organic revenue and non-GAAP earnings per share.
Oracle is scaling its cloud infrastructure aggressively to meet surging demand, particularly from AI workloads, which has increased the need for disciplined capital allocation and operational execution. The company emphasized that meeting this opportunity will require efficient investment strategies, capacity expansion, and a continued focus on generating profitable, recurring revenue.
Maxson joins Oracle from Schneider Electric, where she served as Executive Vice President and Group CFO. During her tenure, Schneider Electric evolved into a digital energy technology leader, focusing on software, data, and AI-driven solutions across utilities and data centers. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at The AES Corporation in senior finance, strategy, and M&A roles supporting large-scale infrastructure investments.
She holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Cornell University and serves as a non-executive director and audit committee chair at Anglo American plc.
With Maxson’s appointment, Doug Kehring will step down from his role as Oracle’s Principal Financial Officer after helping guide the company through a period of significant scale and structural change, and will return to focusing on go-to-market operations.
