Orion has surpassed $6.6 trillion in assets under administration, representing a 29% increase from the $5 trillion milestone it reached one year ago. The wealth technology company also supports more than 8.6 million technology accounts.
Assets under administration generally represent assets tracked or supported through a company’s technology and operational systems, rather than assets directly managed through investment discretion. Orion also reported $211 billion in wealth management assets, nearly double its total from the previous year.
Alongside the growth milestones, Orion is expanding Denali, its AI-native technology ecosystem, into three options designed for wealth management firms at different stages of AI adoption. The company said every Orion product will include certain Denali features at no additional cost, with paid options available for firms seeking greater customization or enterprise-scale capabilities.
The first option, Powered by Denali, embeds AI capabilities directly into Orion products such as Redtail CRM, portfolio accounting, trading, risk management, compliance and financial planning. Advisors will be able to ask questions, review suggested client actions and use AI agents to automate administrative tasks.
Denali Solutions will allow firms to select connected AI capabilities based on their business priorities and activate them across the Orion products they use. Initial features include customized proposal generation, portfolio opportunity alerts, prospect prioritization, billing analysis and tools for identifying potential changes in client assets.
The platform will also provide required minimum distribution tracking, cash-needs alerts and automated preparation and note-taking for client meetings. Orion said these tools are intended to help firms protect revenue, identify new business opportunities and improve follow-through after client interactions.
The third option, Denali AI, connects Orion products with third-party systems and coordinates workflows across an entire wealth management organization. The enterprise-level offering is designed to automate home-office operations, reduce administrative overhead and give firm leaders greater visibility into workflows.
Orion launched Denali AI in February. The company is positioning the broader Denali ecosystem as a way for advisory firms to introduce AI without requiring employees to move between separate applications or assemble technology from multiple vendors.
Across the three options, Orion said AI outputs will be controlled through permissioning, audit trails and explainable processes. The company recently received ISO 42001 certification, an international standard focused on the establishment and management of artificial intelligence systems.
Orion believes AI can give financial advisors more time to meet with clients, develop relationships and pursue new business. The company cited industry productivity benchmarks suggesting that advisors could potentially support substantially more revenue if they redirected AI-generated time savings toward client meetings.
The company also said its clients grew nearly 40% faster in 2025 than advisors that did not use Orion. This figure reflects Orion’s analysis and does not guarantee that individual firms will experience similar results.
Orion provides technology for portfolio management, financial planning, customer relationship management, trading, compliance and reporting. Its platform is used by thousands of independent advisory firms, including 17 of the top 20 registered investment advisory firms on Barron’s ranking, according to the company.
KEY QUOTES:
“Our clients are among the most forward-thinking firms in the industry, and their success is what’s carried Orion past $6 trillion.”
“Orion clients grew nearly 40% faster in 2025 than non-Orion advisors, and we designed Denali to help extend that advantage. Kitces’ productivity benchmarks suggest that if advisors fully redeploy AI-enabled time savings into client meetings, they could support up to 40% more revenue.”
“That growth potential shouldn’t depend on advisors piecing together their own AI strategy. A technology partner should deliver high-impact options for firms to drive strategy, bring the right innovations together, and embed AI seamlessly into the platform they already trust, so advisors can focus on serving clients and growing their firms.”
Natalie Wolfsen, CEO of Orion
“Most of an advisor’s day still goes to work that isn’t advice – meeting prep, follow-ups, and reconciling data across disconnected systems.”
“Denali handles that work in the background, turning Orion’s trusted data foundation and system of record into a system of intelligence. AI shouldn’t live in a separate app or require a separate invoice — so Denali is built into every Orion product and in every client’s hands, with the freedom to configure and orchestrate it as their firm grows.”
“That reclaimed time is capacity to deepen client relationships and drive new business — and because Denali is embedded, open, and governed, firms can move fast with the trust our industry requires.”
Reed Colley, President of Orion Advisor Technology
