Orq.ai has raised €5 million in an oversubscribed seed round to accelerate the development and adoption of production-grade AI agents across global enterprises. The round was led by seed + speed Ventures and Galion exe, with continued participation from Curiosity VC, Spacetime, XO Ventures, xdeck ventures, Waves Capital, and GoldenEggCheck. The new investment brings Orq.ai’s total funding to €7.3 million since its launch in 2022.
The Amsterdam-based company provides an end-to-end platform that helps enterprises design, deploy, and manage AI agents with full control over behavior, data governance, and compliance. With its newly launched Agent Studio and managed runtime, teams can configure workflows, decision logic, and auditability while deploying agents across cloud, hybrid, or fully on-premise environments.
The funding will support the expansion of Orq.ai’s platform, including enhancements to Agent Runtime and the rollout of a new AI Studio focused on faster experimentation and cross-team collaboration. Strategic advisors joining the company include industry leaders such as Sam Bourton of QuantumBlack and McKinsey, Adriaan Mol of Mollie, and Daniel Gebler of Picnic, strengthening Orq.ai’s push into advanced enterprise AI and governance capabilities.
Orq.ai cites common enterprise challenges—unclear agent behavior, fragmented tooling, compliance demands, and lack of observability—as core drivers for its product strategy. According to the company, its platform enables teams to ship AI systems 67 percent faster while freeing up more than 10 percent of engineering capacity by replacing custom infrastructure builds.
More than 100 organizations across Europe and the United States, including Afas, MoneyBird, Keyrus, and Helloprint, are already using Orq.ai to deploy real-world AI systems at scale. The company positions itself as a unified control layer for data lineage, agent behavior insights, decision traceability, and compliance requirements, particularly as GDPR enforcement tightens and the EU AI Act continues to evolve.
KEY QUOTES
“AI agents are becoming the new layer of enterprise software. Companies will need a reliable way to orchestrate and govern them, and Orq.ai is building the platform that makes that future possible.”
Alexander Kölpin, Managing Director, seed + speed Ventures
“Engineering teams don’t just need more models; they need the infrastructure to industrialize how agents are built, improved, and deployed. They want clarity on how agents behave, how data moves through their systems, and how to stay compliant as the regulatory landscape evolves. We provide them with the harness to have this control.”
Sohrab Hosseini, Co-founder, Orq.ai
“Enterprises are no longer experimenting with AI for curiosity. They want to implement it fast, but most of them are stuck passing real systems into production. We believe Orq.ai is the solution for their needs, as it for us. It accelerates our development process daily and is even used by non-technical profiles. Orq’s unified agent lifecycle platform shortens iteration time, reduces friction and brings stability to deploy agents at scale.”
Kevin Kuipers, Founding Partner, Galion.exe
“Leading enterprises have moved past experimentation. Their focus is production. Orq.ai provides the stable foundation to scale AI agents reliably.”
Herman Kienhuis, Curiosity VC
