Orrick announced the addition of employment advisor Sarah Tauman as a partner in the firm’s California Employment team based in Sacramento. Tauman advises venture-backed technology companies on employment matters as they scale operations and expand their businesses. Her practice also includes counseling clients on employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
She brings sector experience across health tech, fintech, and consumer tech companies.
Tauman joins Orrick from DLA Piper and represents the third addition to Orrick’s Tech Companies platform in 2026, following the additions of venture capital advisor Agatha Kluk in New York and intellectual property licensing and transactions advisor Gina Marek in Silicon Valley.
Orrick said the hire supports increasing client demand for employment counseling services among emerging growth and technology companies.
The firm’s California Employment practice is ranked Band 1 by Chambers.
