Orrick has added Steven “Steve” Lozner as a partner in its Structured Finance team in New York, continuing a significant expansion that has more than doubled the group’s size over the past 10 months. Lozner joins Orrick from DLA Piper and will focus on collateralized loan obligations and related leveraged loan warehouse facilities.
He represents investment banks, financial institutions, issuers, collateral managers and institutional investors across complex CLO securitizations and other asset-backed securitization transactions.
His arrival comes as Orrick continues rapidly expanding its Structured Finance practice.
The team has grown from 49 lawyers in October 2025 to 102 lawyers, including 35 partners.
That expansion included a 40-lawyer transatlantic CLO and asset-backed lending team that joined last fall, followed by two asset-backed securitization partners in London in May and four additional partners across the U.S. and London in June.
In total, Orrick has added 16 partners and 55 other lawyers at various levels to the practice during the expansion.
The firm is also building around increased activity at the intersection of structured finance and private credit.
Orrick said it was ranked as the No. 2 CLO arranger counsel globally and in both the U.S. and Europe during the first half of 2026 by Creditflux.
The firm also ranked No. 1 as U.S. private credit arranger counsel and mid-market counsel and holds Chambers Band 1 rankings across five areas of structured finance.
