Orrick announced that it is adding four partners to its Structured Finance practice as the firm continues expanding its transatlantic platform. The new partners include Victor Liang in New York, Brittany Fox in Austin, and John Paul Igoe in Charlotte. Polly O’Brien will also join the firm in London.
The hires follow Orrick’s addition last fall of a 40-lawyer transatlantic collateralized loan obligation and asset-backed lending team. The firm also added two asset-backed securitization partners in London last month.
Orrick said the latest hires strengthen its ability to meet increasing demand for asset-backed securitization, particularly at the intersection of structured finance and private credit.
Liang and Fox join from Morrison & Foerster. Their practices focus on advising financial institutions, asset managers, companies, loan originators, and servicers on forward flow transactions, acquisitions of asset portfolios, and structured financings across multiple asset classes.
Their experience includes consumer and marketplace loans, commercial loans, trade receivables, card receivables, and esoteric assets. Liang is ranked by Chambers USA for Banking & Finance.
O’Brien and Igoe will provide fund finance support across capital call facilities, NAV lines, and other bespoke structured products on both sides of the Atlantic.
O’Brien is recommended by Legal 500 UK and has experience across fund finance, leveraged finance, specialty finance, and private credit. She advises hedge funds, private equity funds, specialty finance companies, and investment banks on opportunistic financings across debt and equity.
Igoe joins from Mayer Brown and advises on cross-border fund finance, subscription credit facilities, net-asset value credit facilities, and other asset-based lending transactions for financial institutions and private equity sponsors.
Orrick said the additions support its plan to build a leading transatlantic structured finance practice focused on cross-sector and innovative products.
The firm is ranked Chambers Band 1 across five areas of structured finance. Orrick was also ranked the No. 2 CLO arranger counsel globally, in the U.S., and in Europe for the first quarter of 2026 by Creditflux, and ranked No. 1 as U.S. private credit arranger counsel and mid-market counsel.
