Hugues Martin-Sisteron has joined Orrick’s Energy & Infrastructure practice in Paris as a partner, specializing in project development and financing. He is the 12th partner to join Orrick’s global E&I team in 2025 and the fourth partner hire in Paris this year.
Hugues advises sponsors, developers, and lenders in the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors across Europe, Africa, and South America. Formerly with Clifford Chance, he brings expertise in African legal systems, including ECOWAS, CEMAC, WAEMU, and OHADA.
His recent work in Africa includes advising on major renewable energy projects in Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso. Orrick’s Paris E&I team has also recently advised on high-profile M&A, financing, and project development deals in the renewable energy and telecommunications sectors, supporting clients such as Octopus Energy Generation, Access Capital Partners, InfraRed Capital Partners, Losange, and the French Directorate General for Energy and Climate.
