Orum Acquires Scout AI To Improve Phone Data Accuracy For Sales Teams

Orum, an AI-powered calling platform used by more than 1,200 sales organizations, announced it has acquired Scout AI to help sales teams identify the most reliable phone number for reaching each prospect. Scout AI uses autonomous data agents to connect a company’s customer relationship management system with more than 30 external data sources and Orum’s proprietary calling intelligence. The system evaluates available phone numbers, identifies the one most likely to reach a live person, and continuously updates that information as new data becomes available.

Orum said the acquisition addresses a longstanding problem for outbound sales teams: inaccurate, outdated, and fragmented contact data. Sales representatives can lose significant time calling disconnected numbers, manually correcting records, and switching among data providers that do not share information.

Scout by Orum combines external contact data with insights drawn from more than one billion sales calls processed through Orum’s platform. That calling history gives the system a proprietary signal for determining which numbers are most likely to connect with real prospects.

The company said Scout’s agents will handle multi-step data work automatically, including gathering information, comparing sources, ranking phone numbers, and writing the most reliable result back into the tools sales representatives already use. This allows customers to retain the improved data within their existing systems rather than keeping it locked inside another platform.

Scout AI was founded by Christian Arredondo and built as a data agent platform for revenue teams. The technology is designed to help sales organizations reach the right person while keeping prospect records current across their existing workflows.

Orum serves companies ranging from high-growth startups to large enterprises, including Samsung, IBM, and Ramp. The acquisition expands Orum beyond call execution and coaching by adding a data intelligence layer focused on improving the quality of outbound sales information.
