Osanni Bio announced it has closed a $190 million Series B financing round led by Patient Square Capital. Existing investors Horowitz Group, Invus Opportunities, and the Retinal Degeneration Fund also participated in the round.

Osanni Bio is a development-stage therapeutics platform focused on reinventing the discovery and development of new medicines. The company plans to use the funding to advance its pipeline of multiple programs and scale its discovery and development process.

The company is currently advancing programs across ophthalmology, cardiology, and other therapeutic areas. Osanni’s model centers on an innovation engine designed to identify new scientific insights, develop novel drug concepts, and move programs efficiently toward proof-of-concept. Once a program is de-risked, it graduates into Osanni’s ecosystem of affiliate companies, which are built with dedicated teams and support to scale the opportunity.

Osanni Bio is led by a team of inventors and entrepreneurs with a track record of repeat company creation and commercialization. Patient Square Capital, which has $19 billion in assets under management, invests in health care companies focused on improving patient outcomes.
