Osborne Clarke has opened a new office in Frankfurt, expanding its European private equity, M&A, finance, technology and corporate capabilities.
The office opened on September 1, 2026, during Osborne Clarke’s 25th anniversary year in Germany and is intended to address growing demand for private capital and financing advice involving clients across Europe, the UK, the U.S., and Asia.
The Frankfurt team will advise on small- and mid-cap private equity and M&A transactions, acquisition and corporate financings, and complex transformation and reorganization matters.
Osborne Clarke is launching the office with Johannes Goossens as a partner. Goossens joins from White & Case, where he was a local partner in the firm’s global private equity and M&A practice.
His practice focuses on complex private equity and M&A transactions, particularly across the technology and financial sectors and in cross-border deals.
Osborne Clarke plans to develop the office in phases, initially building a focused team of up to 20 lawyers supported by partners from its existing German network. A significantly larger expansion is planned over the longer term.
