Oscar Health has announced that independent director Siddhartha Sankaran will become Chair of the Board effective June 4, 2026, succeeding Jeffery Boyd, who is not standing for reelection at the company’s Annual Meeting. Sankaran has served on Oscar Health’s Board for five years and brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the insurance sector, having held executive roles at American International Group, SiriusPoint, and FWD Group, and served on multiple boards.
Boyd has served as Chair since February 2021 and played a key role guiding Oscar Health through its IPO and subsequent growth phase. The transition comes as Oscar Health continues to scale within the individual healthcare market, with CEO Mark Bertolini describing the moment as a critical juncture for the company.
