By Amit Chowdhry • Mar 30, 2024

Overplay is a frictionless platform for user-generated games that announced entrepreneur and “Shark Tank” investor Mark Cuban has invested in the company after an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank, which aired to over 4 million viewers on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 8pm ET. Cuban will also be joining Overplay as a brand ambassador and strategic advisor.

Overplay raised over $400,000 from 411 investors through a Wefunder crowdfunding campaign. The company plans to raise $5 million in seed funding.

The negotiated deal struck on Shark Tank with Cuban involved $500,000 for 4% equity. The company will also pay Cuban $500,000 to create content with Overplay and promote it on social media. Cuban will also have advisory shares in the company in exchange for the promotion.

How does Overplay work? Overplay lets anyone quickly and easily make games using personal videos. And with the help of AI tools within Overplay’s multi-patented app, creators and brands can transform their videos into extraordinary games.
