Overroute has raised $5.5 million in funding to expand its AI-native freight execution platform for large carriers and enterprise fleets. The round was led by UP.Partners, with participation from EIC Rose Rock, 1834 Ventures, Tulane Ventures and other investors.
Overroute plans to use the funding to accelerate its product roadmap and expand staffing as it brings the technology to additional large fleets.
The company’s platform is already deployed across the freight network of J.B. Hunt Transport Services, where it was collaboratively developed and has helped operators deliver millions of loads.
Overroute develops specialized AI agents for freight operations that automate repetitive coordination tasks while working alongside skilled operators.
Those tasks include monitoring loads, managing exceptions, scheduling deliveries, communicating with drivers and updating customers. The agents connect directly with carriers’ existing systems and data streams, allowing freight teams to continue operating within the tools they already use.
The company is targeting asset-based carriers and private enterprise fleets where complex day-to-day freight execution can require substantial manual coordination.
Overroute is now expanding its AI agent deployments while developing additional technology for freight planning and asset optimization. Its broader platform is designed to improve operator productivity, optimize asset utilization and generate measurable returns without requiring carriers to replace their existing operational systems.
