Oversonic Robotics announced that STMicroelectronics, Fondazione ENEA Tech Biomedical, and SpotInvest have entered the company’s share capital.

The new shareholders will support the industrial, technological, and international development of Oversonic Robotics, an Italian cognitive robotics company and creator of RoBee.

RoBee is a certified cognitive humanoid robot designed to operate in complex environments. Oversonic said the robot is already operational in several companies and is involved in experimental healthcare programs.

The transaction is intended to support the industrial development of RoBee, expand applications in manufacturing and healthcare, and strengthen Oversonic’s presence in the United States.

STMicroelectronics is expected to support the company’s industrial development, new technologies, and strategic growth in advanced manufacturing.

Fondazione ENEA Tech Biomedical is supporting Oversonic’s development of certified humanoids for healthcare applications.

SpotInvest, an investment vehicle connected to entrepreneur Marco Setti, is expected to help expand application areas related to services and process automation in the food industry.

The deal further strengthens Oversonic’s shareholder base, which already includes Comat, Datalogic, and AVM SGR through the Cysero fund, along with other strategic investors.

RoBee was developed to work alongside humans in complex work environments, interacting with operators and other robotic systems through AI-based technologies.

Oversonic said its next phase of growth will focus on developing the RoBee technology platform, expanding applications in manufacturing and healthcare, strengthening its team, and increasing industrial capacity.

The company also sees the U.S. as a key market for cognitive humanoid robotics. Oversonic already has an operational presence in the country and plans to strengthen relationships with industrial partners, investors, clients, and strategic operators.

Oversonic Robotics was founded in 2020 in Brianza, Italy. The company has a multidisciplinary team of around 70 people across computer science, mechanics, electronics, and artificial intelligence, with additional U.S. presences in Cincinnati and Los Angeles.

KEY QUOTES:

“The entry of new shareholders represents an important step in Oversonic’s growth path. We are building an ecosystem capable of generating mutual value between technology, industry, and concrete applications. With RoBee, we are bringing humanoid robotics into real environments, from factories to healthcare, transforming an advanced technological platform into an application infrastructure serving the industry, operators, and production systems. Italy remains our technological and industrial base, but Europe and the United States are the markets where the next dimensional leap will be played. Today we have the resources, the partners, and the trajectory to position ourselves as an international point of reference in the cognitive humanoids market.”

Fabio Puglia, Chairman, and Paolo Denti, CEO of Oversonic

“Automation, AI and robotics are key enablers of the future of manufacturing. Our commitment to advancing these technologies reflects our focus on improving adaptability, safety and efficiency, while helping shape the next generation of humanoid robotics for industrial use. By deploying these technologies in our own operations and working with robotics customers globally, we are contributing our industrial expertise to the development of solutions for the manufacturing of tomorrow.”
