Overwatch AI: $1.5 Million Raised To Reduce Flight Disruptions

Overwatch AI, a platform designed to help pilots, cabin crew, and aviation operations managers quickly access critical information and make faster operational decisions, announced it has raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding.

Founded in July 2025 by former airline pilot Leo Kotil and technology entrepreneur Nikita Kaeshko, the company is focused on improving operational efficiency across aviation by consolidating fragmented airline systems and documentation into a single AI-powered platform. The platform enables pilots, crew members, and ground staff to use natural language queries to access operational guidance related to technical issues, airline and airport procedures, and weather assessments.

According to the company, every response generated by the platform is grounded in official documentation and fully sourced, helping airline teams make decisions with greater confidence while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Overwatch AI said the platform is already being used by multiple airlines and currently supports more than 30,000 flights per month. The company noted that airline teams using the platform save approximately 150 hours per employee annually, while airlines can save an average of up to $4 million per year. The company also reported a 4.6x increase in compliant decision-making and a 6.6% increase in overall crew productivity among users.

The company said airline teams today often need to navigate thousands of documents across multiple disconnected systems before, during, and after flights, creating operational inefficiencies and delays. Overwatch AI aims to reduce that complexity by centralizing access to operational information and automating the process of retrieving relevant insights.

KEY QUOTES:

“After nearly a decade as a pilot, I know how painfully disjointed many of the pre- and in-flight processes are. You are trawling through various apps and systems based on outdated software, trying to piece together the information you need to take action. You spend more time on this than flying the plane. It creates a complete information overload and can cause massive delays. Overwatch AI cuts through this noise.

The AI does the hard work of trawling through the reams of documentation and dozens of operational data sources, making sense of it and connecting the dots, surfacing the answers and insights airline teams are looking for. In an industry where safety and accuracy is paramount, we are very proud of how impactful our technology is already being — both on the ground and in the air — when it comes to improving safety, efficiency and operational performance across aviation.”
