Ara Partners - a leading private equity and infrastructure investment firm specializing in industrial decarbonization – recently announced that it has closed over $3 billion of new capital commitments. The firm has also concluded a successful fundraising for Ara Fund III, closing on $2.8 billion of limited partner commitments alongside dedicated limited partner co-investment vehicles.

Turnspire Capital Partners – recently announced the closing of Turnspire Value Fund II, L.P. at its hard cap of $275 million in capital commitments. Since founding in 2013, Turnspire invested over $180 million in control investments across nine platform companies.

Sudo Biosciences - a biopharmaceutical company committed to designing and developing best-in-class precision TYK2 (tyrosine kinase 2) inhibitors – recently announced the close of a $116 million Series B financing round co-led by Enavate Sciences and TPG, which is investing in the company through TPG Life Sciences Innovations and The Rise Fund, with participation from Sanofi Ventures, Surveyor Capital , Monograph Capital, and Eventide Asset Management and existing investors Frazier Life Sciences and Velosity Capital. The company has raised a total of $157 million funding since its founding in 2020.

Salt Labs - a loyalty and financial technology company that bridges the gap between employers and employees – recently announced that Third Prime has invested $8 million. This brings the total funding to $18 million across its pre-seed and Seed financings. With this funding round, the company plans to bring Salt to employers as a catalyst for enhancing retention and productivity.

Aether Fuels - an advanced climate technology company – recently announced $8.5 million in pre-Series A financing via convertible notes. The global syndicate includes JetBlue Ventures, the corporate venture capital (CVC) division of JetBlue, as well as TechEnergy Ventures (the CVC division of the Techint Group), Doral Energy Tech Ventures (the CVC division of Doral Energy), Foothill Ventures, and existing investor Xora Innovation.

TuMeke - a computer vision platform that automatically assesses injury risk in manufacturing facilities – recently announced it raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Intel Capital to expand and scale the TuMeke team of engineers, ergonomists, and academics.

Amide Technologies - a biotech synthesizing challenging peptides - recently announced that it has begun commercializing its novel peptide manufacturing platform. And the company also announced it has raised $16.5 million in total funding to date, which includes a $7.5 million Series A Extension investment closed in July 2023 led by Engine Ventures with participation from Forcefield Venture Fund. The previous rounds included a $3.55 million Series A, also led by Engine Ventures, and a $5.45 million Seed Round led by Biological Engineering Ventures.

Totus Medicines - a company transforming small molecule drug discovery and development using covalent libraries and AI tools - recently announced that Nassim Usman, Ph.D., has been named President & Chief Executive Officer and closed a $66 million Series B financing led by DCVC Bio. And Neil Dhawan, Ph.D, Totus co-founder, founding CEO, and CSO, will transition into a new role as CSO and Head of R&D, where he will continue to oversee the company's platform, programs, and data.

Datalogz – a pioneer in ending BI sprawl for data-mature organizations globally – recently announced that it has secured $5 million in funding, led by GreatPoint Ventures, with participation from Graphene Ventures, Squadra Ventures, Berkeley Skydeck, Defined, Mana Ventures, and Trajectory Ventures. And this significant milestone brings the startup’s total fundraising for 2023 to just under $8 million.

Tetra - a rapidly growing home services company helping homeowners transition from fossil fuels to clean energy - recently announced that it raised a $10.5 million seed funding round led by Greycroft, Gutter Capital, Lerer Hippeau and 1sharpe Capital. The funding will be used to expand Tetra's offering into new markets including New York and California, and to continue investment into developing its proprietary technology designed for making it easier and more affordable for homeowners to lower their carbon footprint.

Distributional recently announced that it has raised $11 million to build a modern enterprise platform for artificial intelligence (AI) testing and evaluation to make all forms of AI safe, secure, and reliable. The seed funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Operator Stack, Point72 Ventures, SV Angel, Two Sigma, Willowtree Investments and dozens of AI leaders and angel investors.

Encellin - a biotechnology company developing a cell encapsulation platform with an initial focus on Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) - recently announced the closing of a $9.9 million financing round led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator.

Friendlier - a Canadian leader in the reusable packaging industry – recently announced a successful seed extension raise to further its mission of helping businesses transition from single-use to reusable packaging.

Apple Tree Partners (ATP) - a leader in life sciences venture capital – recently announced $52 million in Series A funding for its portfolio company Deep Apple Therapeutics, created and incubated by ATP to rapidly discover novel small molecule therapeutics for high-value targets through virtual screening of AI-generated virtual libraries. Through a powerful discovery engine that combines ensemble cryo-EM, deep learning, and molecular docking screens of ultra-large libraries, Deep Apple could go from target identification to lead optimization in less than 12 months – a fraction of the industry standard time – and can pursue biological target signaling inaccessible to conventional discovery approaches.

1440 Foods - a leading portfolio of sports and active nutrition brands – recently announced the signing of a definitive agreement for Bain Capital Private Equity to acquire a significant stake in the company in partnership with existing investor and operator 4x4 Capital. And 1440 Foods will continue to be led by Chief Executive Officer Azania Andrews and her current management team. The financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Strike Graph - a Trust Operations (TrustOps) platform for operating and measuring security & compliance – recently announced that it has raised $8.5 million in funding. The funding round was led by BAMCAP with participation from existing investors Madrona and Information Venture Partners, and Rise of the Rest. Jim Sheward, partner at BAMCAP, will be joining the board.

ARTIS Ventures, a firm that partners with entrepreneurs who are driven to impact their world through innovation positively, announced recently that it closed $200 million in new capital for its second fund focused on the convergence of health and medicine TechBio II. The firm said it will continue making a firm-wide commitment to TechBio and fund and support its next generation of founders and startups.

ScaleOps - a startup specializing in cloud resource management – recently announced $21.5 million in funding for the first fully automated cloud-native resource orchestration platform. And the Seed and Series A funding rounds announced were led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, NFX, and Glilot Capital Partners. ScaleOps attracted a large and dedicated customer base of companies that use the platform to fully automate their production environments, achieving up to 80% cloud cost savings and delivering better-running applications.

Agtonomy - a leading software and services company specializing in advanced autonomous and AI solutions for agriculture – recently announced it has secured $22.5 million in a Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Momenta, with strategic partners including Doosan Bobcat North America and Toyota Ventures.

Backer – a leading fintech company focused on tax-advantaged 529 Savings Plans - recently announced its $9.5 million Series A round of financing and the acquisition of Saving For College, which is a top 529-related media property and education savings resource that millions of American families rely on each year.

Blackstar Capital - a leading provider of invoice financing to businesses – recently announced that it has secured $1 billion in funding to support government contractors and subcontractors. And the funding will be used to provide working capital solutions to businesses that provide services to the government, both prime contractors and subcontractors.

Clearhaven Partners LP - a Boston-based software private equity firm – recently announced the closing of its sophomore fund Clearhaven Fund II, L.P. at more than $580 million of capital commitments. Fund II has closed above target and at its hard cap. And Clearhaven closed Fund II approximately two years following the closing of its debut fund. Clearhaven pursues investments in growing lower middle market software and technology companies with revenues of about $20 million to $100 million.

Skyline Robotics – the developers of Ozmo, which is the world’s first robotic-armed window cleaning robot - recently announced the closing of a $9.8 millionPre-Series A-2 funding (including the conversion of SAFE Notes) round led by Standard Skyline LLC with additional contributions from Durst Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of the Durst Organization, and HNW individuals. So far, Skyline Robotics has raised $19.4 million. This latest funding round will support Ozmo’s expansion into NYC and London, grow the R&D team to bolster Ozmo’s service offerings, and formalize Skyline’s new construction line of business.

On.Energy - a proven end-to-end integrator of battery energy storage and Independent Power Producer (IPP) – recently announced it has closed both construction facility totaling over $40 million and permanent debt facilities for an 80 megawatt-hour (MWh) portfolio in Texas (the Palo Verde Projects) with financing provided by Live Oak Bank. The projects, which are set to come online in Q3 of 2024, will support the balancing of the ERCOT grid by providing both ancillary services as well as arbitrage.

Zelda Ventures - a new investment firm founded and led by General Partner Suzanne Fletcher – recently announced it has closed its first fundraiser with an oversubscribed $33 million debut fund. The pre-seed fund – which closed after less than a year - invests in the next companies of founders whom Fletcher has backed before.

Yurts Technologies - an enterprise-focused Generative AI integration platform – recently announced an up to $16 million contract with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This partnership will focus on integrating large language models (LLMs) to transform operations and capabilities for Special Operations Forces.

Yogi - a customer insights platform built for the consumer goods industry – recently announced its Series A financing led by Blueprint Equity, with participation from existing investors ScOp Venture Capital, RTP Global, Data Point Capital, Remarkable Ventures, and Jaffray Woodriff. In connection with the funding round Sheldon Lewis (Managing Partner at Blueprint Equity) will join Yogi's Board of Directors.

X-Energy Reactor Company, LLC - a leading developer of advanced small modular nuclear reactors and fuel technology for clean energy generation - recently announced that it has completed its Series C financing round with an additional $80 million from Ares Management Corporation and X-energy founder Kam Ghaffarian.

Spade - one of the fastest and most accurate provider of real-time merchant intelligence for the card ecosystem - recently announced it closed a $10 million Series A funding round led by Flourish Ventures with continued participation from a16z, Gradient Ventures, Y Combinator, Dash Fund, and Everywhere Ventures (The Fund).

Sindri - a zero-knowledge-proof infrastructure platform - recently announced the closing of a $5 million seed financing round. CoinFund led the funding round with participation from other notable investors, strategic, and angels spanning chip design and fabrication, signal processing, high-performance computing, and renowned figures in cryptography and blockchain.
