Paladin EnviroTech announced the acquisition of ICT, an Ireland-based IT asset disposition provider, as part of a broader $70 million expansion aimed at scaling secure ITAD and data destruction services globally. The deal strengthens Paladin’s end-to-end capabilities, particularly in Europe, where demand for secure technology lifecycle management and critical materials recycling continues to rise.
The acquisition enhances Paladin’s in-house operations by expanding its chain-of-custody services and on-site data destruction capabilities in Ireland. As part of the integration, ICT will transition to the Paladin brand and relocate to a newly leased 52,000-square-foot processing facility in Dublin, a region widely recognized as a major data center hub in the European Union.
Founded in 2003, ICT has established itself as a leading ITAD provider in Ireland, processing more than 2,000 tons of end-of-life electronics annually and securely shredding over 500,000 data-bearing devices in the past year. The company was the first in Ireland to achieve R2v3 certification, underscoring its adherence to high standards in data security, environmental responsibility, and downstream accountability. Its customer base includes enterprise clients, hyperscale data centers, public sector organizations, and commercial businesses.
ICT’s service model emphasizes in-house processing and reduced reliance on third parties, which improves accountability and minimizes risk. Its offerings include mobile, on-site data destruction through specialized shredding vehicles, as well as IT asset remarketing, electronics recycling, data center decommissioning, secure logistics, and ESG-focused reporting.
The acquisition reflects Paladin’s strategy to build a globally integrated platform that combines IT asset disposition, certified data destruction, electronics recycling, and rare-earth material recovery. By expanding its footprint in Ireland and across Europe, the company aims to support organizations seeking secure, compliant, and sustainable solutions for managing end-of-life technology.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
KEY QUOTES:
“ICT is a strong legacy organization in the ITAD space, built on doing the work in-house, maintaining chain-of-custody control, and meeting the highest standards for secure data destruction. This acquisition strengthens our ability to support customers in Dublin, widely considered the EU’s data center capital, and across Ireland, with consistent execution and certified outcomes, while expanding our on-site shredding and secure handling capabilities in-region.”
Brian Diesselhorst, CEO of Paladin EnviroTech
“ICT has always been focused on trust, control, and doing ITAD the right way. At a time when data risk and material loss are only increasing, a security-first mindset is foundational. Paladin shares that same operational discipline and commitment to full chain-of-custody. Together, we are building a model where organizations do not have to choose between security, compliance, and sustainability, we can deliver all three, at scale, across Ireland, the UK and Europe.”
Eva Warren, CEO of ICT
