Palantir Technologies and Kirkland & Ellis announced the launch of a proprietary enterprise platform designed to modernize private equity fundraising through the use of artificial intelligence. The platform is part of a multiyear partnership expansion between the two organizations and is built on Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), creating a custom fund-formation engine that streamlines legal workflows, scales institutional knowledge, and supports fund-formation clients and investors throughout the fundraising lifecycle.

Kirkland & Ellis, a leading legal advisor to private equity and investment funds, supported nearly $500 billion in capital raised or targeted for clients in 2025. Through the partnership, the firm is developing a new operating model for legal services that centralizes the expertise and judgment of its senior lawyers and makes that knowledge available across more than 1,000 attorneys within its Investment Funds Group.

The platform differs from traditional legal AI tools by incorporating Kirkland’s proprietary institutional knowledge, workflows, and legal expertise. Leveraging Palantir’s ontology-based technology, the system connects funds, market data, obligations, and transaction history into a unified operational framework. This enables information that was previously dispersed across attorneys, documents, and spreadsheets to be structured and applied directly within legal and fundraising workflows.

The platform is designed to support the full private funds lifecycle, including fund documentation, investor solutions, side letter drafting, obligation tracking, commitment closings, and ongoing compliance. By integrating decades of institutional knowledge and market intelligence, the system aims to improve transparency, consistency, speed, and decision-making for both fund managers and investors.

Palantir and Kirkland said the platform represents a broader effort to redefine how professional services organizations leverage artificial intelligence, transforming fundraising operations into a continuously improving enterprise system that captures and compounds knowledge from every transaction, relationship, and obligation.
