PaleBlueDot AI, a Silicon Valley-based AI compute platform founded in 2024, has closed a $150 million Series B financing round that values the company at more than $1 billion. The round was led by B Capital, an investment firm headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore with more than $9 billion in assets under management.
The company said the financing comes after a year of rapid growth, with revenue increasing more than tenfold. PaleBlueDot AI attributed that surge to rising enterprise demand for scalable, cost-efficient AI compute and to its ability to bring capacity online quickly and reliably.
PaleBlueDot AI is positioning itself to serve organizations facing increasingly volatile compute needs as AI workloads expand beyond development cycles into always-on inference and real-time applications. The company says these usage patterns can create sharp spikes in demand, making global availability and consistent performance critical for stable, long-duration workloads. PaleBlueDot AI currently operates across North America, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, and is focused on delivering predictable compute performance across regions.
The new funding will be used primarily to deepen core technology capabilities, with a major emphasis on platform engineering and technical hiring. PaleBlueDot AI plans to further develop its full-stack, multi-tenant cloud architecture and accelerate work on its AI Cloud Agent. The company also intends to expand go-to-market efforts and scale operations to support continued international growth as enterprise customers seek trusted, high-performance AI infrastructure.
The company’s name references the famous 1990 Voyager image of Earth, described by Carl Sagan as “a pale blue dot,” and reflects its belief in AI’s potential to benefit humanity.
