The Palisadian-Post, the historic newspaper serving Pacific Palisades, California, has been acquired by longtime residents Laura Schneider and Tim Schneider, who plan to relaunch the publication as a digital-first multimedia communications platform focused on independent and fact-checked journalism.

The new owners aim to rebuild the outlet as a central source of information for the Pacific Palisades community while reconnecting residents who have dispersed following the devastating fire that impacted the area. The publication intends to serve both local readers and Palisadians now living across the United States and internationally.

As part of the relaunch, the Palisadian-Post will prioritize digital distribution, positioning its website as the community’s primary communications hub. A redesigned site is scheduled to launch on May 4, marking the 98th anniversary of the newspaper’s founding in 1928. The company also plans to reintroduce a printed edition after gathering community feedback.

Both Laura and Tim Schneider bring extensive experience in communications and publishing. Laura Schneider spent much of her career in the newspaper industry, including roles with Gannett and as a marketing executive at the Los Angeles Times. She also served nearly a decade as volunteer president of the Pacific Palisades Library Association.

Tim Schneider founded Schneider Publishing Company at age 26 and later launched several media and events properties, including SportsTravel magazine, the TEAMS Conference & Expo, and the EsportsTravel Summit. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the National Association of Sports Commissions for his role in developing the international sports event industry.

Under Schneider Publishing Company, the Palisadian-Post will be reimagined as a multimedia platform focused on community storytelling, rebuilding local civic infrastructure, and supporting the long-term recovery of Pacific Palisades.
