Palona AI has completed its Series A financing, bringing total funding to $20 million as the company expands a multimodal AI operating layer designed to connect customer demand with real-time operations inside physical businesses. The total includes converted SAFEs. Investors include Ardenwood Ventures, CrimsonOx, UpHonest, Turbo, Llama Ventures, Neo, Fusion Fund, Defy and Maynard Webb, along with additional institutional, strategic and individual investors.
Restaurants are Palona’s initial market. And customers and operators include Din Tai Fung, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Giordano’s, Rooted Hospitality and Cali BBQ.
The company sees the underlying technology extending into other physical businesses where customer interactions and frontline operations need to be coordinated in real time.
Palona offers Revenue Expansion, Revenue Intelligence and Operations Excellence products.
The system captures customer demand from phone calls, catering inquiries, private events and large orders, assesses the value and urgency of those opportunities and turns operational signals into workflows for managers.
Palona describes the system as a continuous Capture, Understand, Act and Learn loop spanning employees, business software and AI agents.
A production study spanning Cali BBQ, Rooted Hospitality and Giordano’s tracked 481 orders across 194 location-days and identified 305 large-order and catering inquiries across seven restaurants.
At Cali BBQ, Father’s Day revenue increased 20% year-over-year after Palona had been in production for more than a year.
Palona also became Cali BBQ’s highest average-order-value sales channel as the system expanded into catering and large orders.
The company has also developed a proprietary Interaction Model that represents how people, objects, locations and business processes relate over time.
Palona holds U.S. Patent No. 12,481,517 covering orchestration of specialized AI agents based on user intent, model performance and real-time computing requirements.
KEY QUOTES:
