Parabellum Investments Acquires Crux Informatics

Parabellum Investments announced its acquisition of Crux Informatics, a platform for AI-powered external data management. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Crux helps financial and technology firms manage the growing volume and complexity of external data. The company acts as a connective layer between fragmented raw data sources and the advanced models used by financial institutions and technology companies.

The acquisition combines Crux’s data-management platforms with Parabellum’s operational expertise and long-term growth strategy. The companies said the partnership will accelerate product innovation, broaden international reach, and deliver greater efficiency to Crux’s customer base.

Crux streamlines the full data lifecycle through two core offerings. Sphere is a managed service for data onboarding, transformations, and operations, while ArrayX is an agentic platform for rapid ingestion and self-healing pipelines.

The company’s technology automates complex data processes such as schema mapping. This enables data teams to focus more on generating insights rather than managing infrastructure.

Crux works with more than 200 data providers, including Morningstar, Moody’s Analytics, and MSCI. The company also has integrations with cloud destinations including Google Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake, and manages thousands of production customer data pipelines.

Parabellum said the acquisition will help Crux increase its investment in frontier artificial intelligence across data management and analytics workflows. This includes use cases tied to financial markets and alpha-generating trading strategies.

Crux serves customers across the financial services and technology sectors. Its customers include Goldman Sachs, Two Sigma, and Google Cloud.

D.A. Davidson served as sole financial advisor to Crux on the transaction. Goodwin Procter served as legal advisor to Crux.

Parabellum Investments is a private equity firm focused on acquiring and scaling companies across enterprise software, fintech, and life sciences. The firm deploys its own capital to acquire majority control of companies worldwide and support growth through operational improvements.
