Parish Tractor has acquired Crain Tractor in Columbia, Mississippi, expanding the agriculture and construction equipment company’s operating network to nine locations across four states.
The addition of Crain Tractor gives Parish Tractor four locations in Mississippi, three in Florida, and one each in Alabama and Louisiana. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition strengthens Parish Tractor’s presence in Mississippi and broadens its ability to serve agricultural producers, construction companies, contractors, property owners, and other customers throughout the southeastern United States.
Founded in 2012, Parish Tractor has developed a regional equipment platform offering machinery sales, replacement parts, maintenance and repair services, and equipment rentals. The company positions its locations as full-service destinations for customers seeking both equipment and ongoing operational support.
The Columbia location will give Parish Tractor another base from which to sell and service agriculture and construction equipment. It will also expand access to parts, rentals, and technical assistance for customers in Columbia and surrounding counties.
Parish Tractor said Crain Tractor had already established a strong foundation through years of service to its customers and the local community. The company plans to build on those existing relationships rather than treating the location as an entirely new operation.
The acquisition is expected to help Parish Tractor reach a larger group of customers while increasing the geographic coverage of its service and support network. A broader location footprint can also make it easier for equipment owners to access maintenance, replacement components, and rental options closer to their operations.
For agricultural customers, dependable equipment support can be particularly important during planting, harvesting and other time-sensitive periods. Construction customers similarly rely on equipment availability and timely service to keep projects moving and reduce downtime.
Parish Tractor said it intends to bring its existing focus on service, community involvement and employee development to the Columbia market. The company also emphasized its commitment to preserving the service standards that Crain Tractor customers have come to expect.
The addition of the Columbia dealership represents another step in Parish Tractor’s development from a regional equipment dealer into a larger multi-state platform.
With nine locations, the company is now positioned to serve a wider mix of customers across Mississippi, Florida, Alabama and Louisiana while maintaining a local presence in each market.
Parish Tractor said the acquisition will support its broader goal of helping customers achieve their operational goals with dependable equipment, parts and service while continuing to invest in the communities where it conducts business.
