Parkview Health has signed an agreement to acquire Ovation Healthcare, a provider of shared services designed to improve the operational and financial performance of hospitals, health systems, and physician practices across the United States.
The transaction is intended to expand Parkview’s administrative and operational capabilities beyond its existing regional footprint while supporting rural and community healthcare providers that face resource and cost pressures.
Parkview is the largest rural healthcare provider in Indiana and said the acquisition will allow it to bring capabilities such as revenue cycle management and information services to Ovation’s national healthcare services platform. The organizations are positioning the combination as a way to help hospitals reduce administrative expenses while preserving more resources for patient care.
Following completion of the transaction, Parkview and Ovation will combine complementary operations under the Ovation Healthcare brand. Ovation will continue operating as a separate healthcare services organization with its own governing board, while Parkview Health will become its owner.
Parkview began expanding its operational capabilities to support independent healthcare providers in 2025. The Ovation acquisition represents a broader extension of that strategy, particularly for rural hospitals and health systems that want to remain independent while gaining access to shared infrastructure and administrative expertise.
The transaction also aligns with Parkview’s multi-year effort to reduce healthcare costs for employers and patients. The health system said it has reduced commercial reimbursement rates by more than $1.1 billion across northern Indiana and northwest Ohio during the past five years and made additional rate-reduction commitments in 2025 extending through 2029.
Ovation Healthcare provides shared services to hospitals, health systems, and physician practices, helping organizations manage administrative and operational functions while directing more resources toward clinical care. Parkview believes combining its operational capabilities with Ovation’s national platform can strengthen that model and extend it to additional communities.
The acquisition is expected to close in the coming weeks following customary regulatory reviews and approvals.
Parkview Health is a nonprofit health system serving Indiana and northwest Ohio. Based in Fort Wayne, the organization employs more than 20,000 people and focuses on community-based healthcare delivery.
