Pathlight Learning Acquires Four Primrose Schools And Plans 11 New Locations

Pathlight Learning has acquired four Primrose Schools locations in Omaha and signed a development agreement to open 11 additional schools, putting the Taurus Capital Partners-backed franchise operator on a path toward 18 Primrose locations. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The acquired Omaha locations are Primrose School of La Vista, Primrose School at Legacy, Primrose School of West Maple and Primrose School of Elkhorn.

All four schools will continue operating without interruption and will retain their existing teaching teams and leadership.

The acquisition increases Pathlight’s portfolio to seven Primrose schools across Oklahoma City, Nashville and Omaha.

Those locations collectively serve more than 1,000 children and their families.

The transaction is Pathlight’s second acquisition since Taurus Capital Partners invested in the company in August 2025. Pathlight previously acquired Primrose School of 12 South in Nashville in March 2026.

The company’s new development agreement calls for 11 additional Primrose schools across Omaha, Oklahoma City and Nashville, as well as new markets in Kentucky and Ohio.

Pathlight expects the first newly developed school to open in 2027.

The company is evaluating a combination of ground-up construction and conversions of existing early childhood education centers.

Pathlight operates exclusively within the Primrose system and plans to use acquisitions, adaptive reuse projects and new development to build scale across selected markets.

Once its current development pipeline is completed, Pathlight is expected to operate 18 Primrose schools across six markets.

Pathlight is backed by Taurus Capital Partners, which is providing capital to support the franchisee’s expansion strategy.
