Pathlock, an identity and access governance (IGA) solutions provider, has added two senior executives as it pushes deeper into enterprise identity security and partner-led growth. The company named James Davison as Chief Strategy Officer and appointed Scott Pruitt as Vice President of Global GSI Alliances, positioning both hires as central to its next phase of go-to-market execution and ecosystem expansion.
In the Chief Strategy Officer role, Davison is expected to sharpen Pathlock’s global go-to-market strategy while working closely with product and sales teams. Pathlock framed Davison as an IGA industry veteran with a background in identity security and automation, citing his work at SailPoint, where he helped shape the IdentityNow platform early in its development into a widely adopted cloud identity solution. Davison has also held senior product leadership roles across multiple technology companies and spent more than a decade at IBM managing enterprise product lines, experience Pathlock is leaning on as it scales product strategy for complex, mission-critical application environments.
Pruitt will lead Pathlock’s global systems integrator strategy, alliance partnerships, and joint go-to-market initiatives, a role geared toward expanding distribution and deepening implementation capacity through major consulting and integration partners. Pathlock highlighted Pruitt’s more than two decades of experience across identity security and management consulting, including senior GSI alliances leadership roles at SailPoint and Ping Identity, as well as earlier consulting experience at Deloitte and PwC supporting large-scale enterprise transformations.
The appointments come as identity governance continues to move toward the center of enterprise risk management, especially for organizations juggling sprawling application ecosystems and increasingly stringent compliance requirements. Pathlock positions its platform around fine-grained identity security controls, audit readiness, and meeting regulatory standards including SOX, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ITAR, and EAR. With Davison focused on strategy and product-to-market alignment and Pruitt focused on scaling partner motion globally, Pathlock is signaling that its next growth chapter will rely on both product execution and expanded partner reach.
