Pathos Communications reported first-half 2026 revenue of $7.3 million, up 14% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA increased 36% to $1.7 million as the PR technology company expanded its product offering, sales organization and geographic reach.
Adjusted EBITDA margin increased to 23.65% from 19.8%, while reported profit before tax rose 27% to $964,000. Cash receipts from customers increased more than 80% to $7.9 million, and Pathos ended June with $5.9 million of net cash.
Repeat customers represented 36% of first-half revenue, up from 16% a year earlier. Pathos also secured its largest customer contract to date, a $700,000 one-year agreement, while a new sales management structure increased new client sign-ups by approximately 30%. The company also launched a dedicated Asia-Pacific operation during the period.
Pathos expanded its services to include podcast offerings, book publishing and access to prime business television channels. It also entered into a 24-month agreement with one of the three largest U.S. news periodicals.
The company continues developing Pressella, its AI-powered virtual publicist, and PathosMind, which are expected to become generally available during the first half of 2027. Pathos said testing indicates Pressella has achieved at least seven times the success rate of human colleagues in sales development activities. The company is also exploring Generative Engine Optimization services designed to improve how customer content is identified and cited by AI search tools.
Trading has remained strong since the half-year ended. July produced record revenue, and trading through the end of August was significantly ahead of the prior year. The board expects Pathos to meet or slightly exceed full-year market expectations, which currently call for $14 million of revenue and $4 million of adjusted EBITDA.
Pathos operates a technology-enabled, human-led PR platform that uses a pay-on-results model rather than the traditional long-term subscription model, targeting small and medium-sized businesses globally.
KEY QUOTE:
“H1 2026 has been a period of strong delivery for Pathos with revenue, profits and cash receipts all increasing while we continued to invest the proceeds of our successful IPO behind the next phase of growth. The period saw us broaden our product offering, secure strategic publisher partnerships, strengthen our sales organisation and continue to advance Pressella, our proprietary AI platform, which we believe has the potential to transform both our operations and customer acquisition capabilities.”
