PatientIQ has raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Hughes & Company to expand its patient-reported outcomes intelligence platform across additional healthcare specialties, medical device companies and life sciences organizations.
Hughes & Company joins existing investors Health Enterprise Partners and August Capital. Travis Hughes, Founder and Managing Partner of Hughes & Company, will join PatientIQ’s board of directors.
PatientIQ’s platform is used by more than 870 healthcare organizations and 17 million patients across the U.S.
Since its Series B in 2022, the company has expanded its EHR-integrated network from 200 healthcare organizations to more than 870 and has collected more than 70 million patient outcomes.
PatientIQ now serves more than 20 medical specialties and integrates with more than 50 electronic health record systems, including Epic, Oracle Cerner and Athenahealth.
Its technology also supports automated data collection for medical device and life sciences companies and national clinical registries operated by organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Society for Thoracic Surgeons.
The Series C will support expansion within existing specialties and health systems, development of PatientIQ’s real-world evidence capabilities and creation of a direct-to-patient commerce experience connecting patients with products and services through its marketplace.
The financing comes as healthcare providers face increasing requirements to collect and demonstrate patient-reported clinical outcomes for reimbursement, regulatory compliance and research.
