Paul Hastings has announced that Sherry Xie has joined the firm as a partner in New York, enhancing its global tax practice. Previously with Kirkland & Ellis, Xie advises U.S. and international clients on various tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
She represents leading public corporations and private equity firms across various industries, including consumer products, technology, and healthcare. Her notable clients include ADTRAN, Better Health Group, and Polestar Performance, with significant cases such as NortonLifeLock’s $25 billion merger with Avast.
Xie is the fourth partner to join the tax practice in the past year, following Daniel Nicholas from Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Christopher Mangin from Vinson & Elkins, as well as Alex Farr from McDermott Will & Emery.
