Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced that Trent Bridges will join the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the M&A Group within its Corporate Department. Bridges brings extensive experience advising public and private companies on energy-related transactions and infrastructure development projects, particularly in the midstream oil and gas sector.
According to the firm, Bridges has worked on a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, greenfield projects, and commercial agreements across the energy industry. His experience also includes power facility development projects supporting data center operations, renewable fuel and energy transition initiatives, and crude oil and natural gas pipeline projects. Prior to returning to private practice, Bridges served as vice president and assistant general counsel at Magellan Midstream Partners, where he advised the board and management team on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic projects.
Paul, Weiss said Bridges has recently advised clients on several notable energy infrastructure transactions. These include Energy Transfer LP’s strategic joint venture with Enbridge Inc. to develop the Southern Illinois Connector project, as well as a joint venture between Energy Transfer and Sunoco LP involving crude oil and produced water gathering assets in the Permian Basin. He also represented Devon Energy Corporation in agreements with LandBridge Company LLC related to produced water surface use and pore space reservation rights, and advised Enbridge Inc. on an infrastructure development agreement with Divert Inc. focused on wasted-food-to-renewable natural gas projects across the United States.
