Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announced that Blake Rohrbacher will join the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department, based in Wilmington.
Rohrbacher is known for his experience in complex corporate litigation and Delaware Court of Chancery matters. He joins Paul, Weiss from Richards, Layton & Finger, the largest Wilmington-based law firm, where he began his legal career.
Rohrbacher’s practice covers complex Delaware corporate litigation and related advisory work. He is frequently involved in matters addressing corporate governance and corporate control, representing companies, boards, special committees, and stockholders in high-stakes disputes.
His first-chair litigation representations include Oracle, Boeing, BlackBerry, Verizon, and other major companies. He also advises corporate boards on governance, M&A, and fiduciary duty matters.
Rohrbacher is ranked by Chambers USA in Band 1 for Chancery and was recognized by The Legal 500 in 2025 as a “Leading Partner” in M&A Litigation. He has also been recognized by Benchmark Litigation since 2013.
He serves on the Court of Chancery Rules Committee by appointment of the chancellor. Rohrbacher has also contributed to the development of Delaware corporate law through amendments to the Delaware General Corporation Law and the drafting of the Delaware Rapid Arbitration Act.
Rohrbacher received a B.A. from Yale University, an M.A. from Boston University, and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an executive editor of The Yale Law Journal.
He is a frequent writer and speaker on Chancery litigation and Delaware corporate law. He has also served as a co-editor of The Delaware Law of Corporations and Business Organizations and has co-authored treatises on corporate governance and nonprofit corporations.
