Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announced that Michael Darby has joined the firm as a partner in the M&A Group within its Corporate Department. Darby advises corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities laws, and Delaware law matters.
Darby’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions as well as a broad range of corporate matters, including securities law issues, corporate governance, activism defense, and Delaware law. He has represented clients across numerous industries, including life sciences, industrials, financial services, consumer and retail, technology, and energy.
Among his recent representations, Darby advised Select Medical in its take-private transaction, the special committee of Enfusion’s board of directors in its acquisition by Clearwater Analytics, Energy Harbor in its acquisition by Vistra, Chiesi Farmaceutici in its acquisition of Amryt Pharma, and Quest Diagnostics on multiple transactions, including its acquisition of select assets from Fresenius Medical Care and the sale of its ownership interest in Q2 Solutions to IQVIA.
Darby earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Delaware and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
