Paul Weiss Adds Finance Partner Alena Thomas In New York

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announced Alena Q. Thomas has joined the firm in New York as a partner in the Finance Group within the Corporate Department, continuing a recent expansion of the firm’s finance bench following the arrival of partners Nicholas M. Schwartz, Mark G. Adler, and Julie Ann Lamm.

Thomas advises private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and lenders on leveraged finance matters, including acquisition financings, cross-border transactions, debt restructurings, and complex liability management transactions, the firm said. Paul, Weiss also highlighted her experience structuring financings across products such as first-lien and second-lien debt, unitranche, asset-based facilities, recurring-revenue financings, back-leverage, and high-yield offerings.
