Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announced that Jennifer Gasser has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group within the Corporate Department. Gasser advises private equity sponsors and public companies in the energy and infrastructure sectors on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Her arrival continues the firm’s buildout of its Houston presence, a market that has become increasingly competitive among major law firms seeking to expand their transactional capabilities, particularly in the energy and infrastructure industries.
Gasser brings extensive experience advising clients on complex corporate transactions. Her recent representations include advising EQT Corporation in multiple transactions, including its midstream joint venture with Blackstone Credit & Insurance and its merger with Equitrans Midstream Corporation. She also advised Sandbrook Capital in its acquisition of Bernhard Capital Partners’ equity interests in United Utility Services and Electro Rent Corporation’s equity interests in Intellirent.
In addition, Gasser represented Cloverleaf Infrastructure in its sale of powered land to Vantage Data Centers for the development of a data center campus, Celanese in the divestment of its Micromax portfolio of products to Element Solutions Inc., and ONEOK, Inc. in its acquisition of Global Infrastructure Partners’ equity interests in Medallion Midstream.
Beyond transactional work, she has counseled clients on partnership and LLC agreements, securities laws compliance and corporate governance matters.
Gasser previously practiced at Kirkland & Ellis and joins former Kirkland partners Sean Wheeler and Debbie Yee at Paul Weiss as the firm continues to expand its Houston team. The firm’s M&A practice advises leading private equity firms and many of the world’s largest publicly traded and privately held companies on a wide range of complex transactions.
Gasser earned a B.S., cum laude, from Portland State University and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. She has also been recognized by The Legal 500 in the Energy: Renewable/Alternative Power category.
