Paylocity Acquiring AI-Native Aidora To Simplify Leave Management

Paylocity announced it has acquired Aidora, an AI-native leave management compliance software company, as part of its strategy to automate complex HR processes and improve employee experience. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition addresses a growing challenge for employers as leave policies become increasingly complex across federal, state, local, and company levels. HR teams often rely on manual processes and disconnected systems, leading to inefficiencies, compliance risks, and inconsistent employee support during critical life events.

Aidora’s platform uses AI and natural language interaction to streamline leave management. The technology automates tasks such as eligibility determination, compliance tracking, documentation, and payroll coordination. It also provides employees with a guided, conversational interface to help them understand and navigate leave options through voice or text.

By integrating Aidora into its platform, Paylocity aims to reduce administrative burdens for HR teams while delivering a more seamless and transparent experience for employees. The acquisition also strengthens Paylocity’s broader push to embed AI across its human capital management, finance, and IT solutions.

The company expects the deal to enhance its value proposition, particularly for mid-market and enterprise customers dealing with complex regulatory requirements. Paylocity noted that the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its near-term financial results.

KEY QUOTE:

“Leave management is one of the most complex and time-consuming processes HR teams deal with today. Aidora helps take that work off their plate by automating what has traditionally been manual, and giving HR teams more confidence in how they manage leave, while also providing a better employee experience.”
